Frank Whitehead was elected the Member of the Legislative Assembly for The Pas in a 2009 by-election. He is a member of Opaskwayak Cree Nation and has a long history of community involvement in OCN and the Town of The Pas, including Chief of OCN.
Frank’s strong background of experience has made him a valuable addition to the government caucus. His work for the Swampy Cree Tribal Council, Northern Development Corps, New Careers North, the Cree Nation Tribal Centre, and as a political advisor to Grand Chief Ron Evans of the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs, has allowed him to follow through on a number of important projects in The Pas.
