Record turnout for premier's dinner
WINNIPEG—The Manitoba NDP Premier’s Dinner saw a record turn out this year of over 900 people. The event brought together Manitoba New Democrats and the province’s community and business leaders to meet, mingle and raise money for the NDP.
“It is great to see such an incredible turnout,” said NDP Provincial Secretary Nanci Morrison. “Seeing so many people in attendance is energizing, it shows that our party continues to grow.”
The dinner this year comes just days after the one-year anniversary of Manitoban’s electing the largest caucus of NDP MLAs in Manitoba history.
"The commitment and generosity of our party members and those in the community as well as the dedication of our staff and volunteers has meant another successful Premier's Dinner," said Morrison. "Manitoba families are looking for leadership to keep building Manitoba and make life better for families and events like these ensure that Today's NDP remains strong."
