2013-05-08-New Police Initiative
A new provincial investment will support 10 more positions at the Winnipeg Police Service, including six new officers and four criminal analysts that will reinforce a new crime-reduction project centred on the William Whyte neighbourhood, Premier Selinger announced Wednesday, May 8, 2013. The new initiative is aimed at taking a comprehensive approach to fighting crime by connecting police, community groups and neighbourhood residents.
