Strong support for manitoba seniors

Manitoba seniors helped build the province we are all proud to call home. They deserve to live with dignity and know that the services they count on are there for them.

Greg Selinger and your NDP are committed to making Manitoba a better place to live for our seniors and ensure that they can lead healthy, active lives right in their home communities.

That’s why we’ve invested to build more affordable housing options for seniors. We’ve expanded tax credits for seniors and their family caregivers. And we’ve made new investments to expand long-term care, home care and rehabilitation services.

Working together, we can build on our successes and make life better for Manitoba’s seniors.

Improving life for seniors isn’t a priority for Hugh McFadyen’s PCs.

Hugh McFadyen doesn’t understand the needs of hard-working Manitoba families. The PCs push to cut a half a billion dollars from the budget would put the health care and other important services that seniors and their families count on at risk.

Manitobans know that’s wrong. When it comes to being there for seniors, we just can’t count on Hugh McFadyen.

Let’s keep building and improving for Manitobans of all ages.

With smart, practical solutions, Greg Selinger and your NDP are:

  • Creating housing that supports independence and a high quality of life for seniors;
  • Working with seniors to plan for and meet housing needs;
  • Increasing the maximum Education Property Tax Credit for seniors;
  • Creating a new tax credit for caregivers providing care to seniors at home;
  • Cracking down on elder abuse; and
  • Expanding home care to meet the needs of our growing number of seniors.

Together, we can keep Manitoba on track and moving forward. Let’s keep building. Don’t turn back.
