Today Manitobans living with sleep apnea attended the opening day of the legislative session where New Democrats called for Pallister to reverse his decision to charge fees to Manitobans who use sleep apnea machines.
Winnipeg, MB – Manitoba New Democrats announced the appointment of two women that will lead the Commission to Establish a Safe and Respectful Political Environment. The Commission is tasked with investigating the experiences of staff and elected officials who were subject to sexual harassment and misconduct.
The commission will be led by Kemlin Nembhard and Sandra Delaronde. Biographies for both are attached.

Last week the Manitoba NDP Executive approved a proposal to create a Commission to Establish a Safe and Respectful Political Environment. This past week was difficult, and very triggering for many people, and we acknowledge the courage of the women who have come forward and shared their experiences about sexual harassment at work. We need to do much more to ensure safety and respect for all employees, MLAs, members and others.
