Today is the first day of voting for delegates to attend the September 16th Leadership Convention, President David Woodbury announced today.
"Delegate selection voting is one of the most exciting parts of the leadership race for members and the campaigns," said Woodbury. "I encourage every member to participate and make a plan to vote."
I'm writing you today about the changes happening in our province. Like many parents, I'm concerned about the cuts being made to public services that families like mine count on. In particular, as a music teacher, I'm really starting to see first-hand how Brian Pallister's agenda is having a negative impact on public education and our childrens' future.
As you may have heard, the Pallister government’s 2017 budget does not include nearly enough funding to cover inflation and the growing needs of the students in our schools.
The Manitoba NDP Leadership 2017 Forums concluded today in Winnipeg following an exciting series of turnouts and performances by the leadership candidates, President David Woodbury said today.
"The Forums have allowed Manitobans to better get to know the candidates," said Woodbury. "I'd like to thank everyone that took part by attending a Forum in-person or watching online."
The Manitoba NDP leadership race featured two exciting debates in Brandon and Gimli this week as Steve Ashton and Wab Kinew passionately shared their visions for the party and Manitoba, President David Woodbury said today.
"Ashton and Kinew both have strong views and exciting ideas about how to move our party forward and address key issues throughout our province," said Woodbury. "All members and those interested are encouraged to watch these debates online, or attend another Forum if they're able in the coming days."
